Award Nominations

I'm absolutely thrilled to share with you that three of my books have been nominated for three different awards.

The Pennsylvania School Library Association has nominated Whooo Knew? The Truth About Owls for the Pennsylvania Young Reader's Choice Award for 2022-2023.

The Washington Library Association has nominated Scurry! The Truth About Spiders for the 2023 Towner Award

The Keystone State Literacy Association has nominated Woof! The Truth About Dogs for the 2022-2023 Keystone to Reading Award.
Each of these nominations is a true honor, especially when I see the incredible other book nominations on the lists. I'm thrilled teachers and librarians have nominated my books for students to determine the winner of the awards.

The nominated titles are the first three STEM books in The Truth About series from Reycraft Books. They're packed with facts and use a question-and-answer structure. Stunning photography and Juanbjuan Oliver's humorous illustrations fill each page spread. Each book also includes plenty of back matter so readers can learn even more about the animals. These books are available through your local bookstore and online.

Ribbit! The Truth About Frogs releases on May 15. Meow! The Truth About Cats arrives this fall. See all of my nonfiction books here.
I've created a spider educator guide for Scurry! The Truth About Spiders. A frog educator guide for  Ribbit! The Truth About Frogs is now here! More to come!

This blog is already filled with writing resources for teachers and writers so take a look around.
Thank you for your support through your personal purchases and recommending your local library to purchase all of my books. Each recommendation makes a difference.
