It's quite the honor for a book to be added to a book list. It gets even better when the same book is on multiple book lists. That's the case for Whooo Knew? The Truth About Owls.
I recently learned that Bank Street College of Education Best Children's Books of the Year 2021 for 5-9 year olds includes Whooo Knew? The Truth About Owls, along with many other fantastic books. You can see the complete lists here.
Earlier this year, the Keystone State Literary Association notified me that Whooo Knew was nominated for the Keystone to Reading Elementary Primary Book Award. The nominated books would be read by students across the state of Pennsylvania during the 2021-2022 school year. Then, students vote on their favorite book in March 2022. You can see all of the lists and learn more here. Wow! What an honor to be included with these other terrific books!
Respected children's author Melissa Stewart named Whooo Knew in a blog post titled My 10-ish Favorite STEM Books of 2020. Though Melissa didn't keep the list to just ten books, the list is short and the titles are incredible. It's quite the honor to be included.
I appreciate every time a person adds one of my books to any list--whether that's a shopping list, a TBR pile, GoodReads list, social media post, blog post, or anything else. Your thoughts and reviews matter, too. It's how more kids can celebrate their own curiosity.
