Scurry! The Truth About Spiders

I'm thrilled to share the third book in The Truth About animal series (Reycraft Books) releases into the world today.

Welcome, Scurry! The Truth About Spiders!
Please note: If you are reading this blog post in an email, you may not be able to see all images or click on links unless you go to the blog by clicking the title of today's blog post.

Scurry is an informational book for kids. It's full of questions--and answers!

Where do spiders live? Learn about their homes--and how one spider even makes its home underwater!
How do spiders make silk? I just love how this image shows off the spider's spinnerets! Have you ever wondered how a thread of spider silk can be stronger than steel? I wondered...researched...and shared!
As you can see, Scurry! The Truth About Spiders includes both high-quality photographs and art illustrations. The art adds a bit of humor--and more facts from the spiders' viewpoints.
In addition to the question-and-answer format, Scurry! The Truth About Spiders includes six extra pages of spider-iffic information about our 8-legged friends with a STEM spider activity.
The hardcover edition even comes with a huge poster featuring big and small spiders--shown actual size!

Get your own copy of Scurry! The Truth About Spiders from your local bookstore by asking for it by name. It's also available online. If you get a copy of this or any of my books, email me for a personalized bookplate which is perfect for gift-giving! Be sure to check out my other science and history-focused books for children
Some readers have asked what's next for me. I'm happy to tell you The Truth About series will continue in 2022 with Ribbit! The Truth About Frogs and Meow! The Truth About Cats. I can't wait to share the cover of Ribbit with my monthly newsletter subscribers later this year!

  1. I have to order this book for I love the spiders I know, and I would like to learn about ours. I have a file on spiders and I have photographed many, like my summer buddy and a couple during the winter on my back door windows.
